Why do a qualification through us?

The Nature College is built on 25 years of experience in nature guiding.  Johan Fourie started his career in Nature Guiding in the Kruger National Park in 1982.  Since then he has assembled a vast amount of knowledge about guiding in Southern Africa, including Botswana and Namibia.  This knowledge and expertise is ploughed back into his team of trainers and assessors, and made available to student guides through our range of guide training programmes and handbooks for guide training.

The Nature College has developed it own unique training programmes and materials independent of other providers and associations such as FGASA.  This has led to a fresh approach to guide training, interesting handbooks and stimulating course presentations.  Our assessment techniques and procedures are highly rated by CATHSSETA, and are designed to be user friendly, but also a real test of ability.  Once you have been approved by a Nature College assessment, we can send you into the guiding world with confidence.  A qualification from The Nature College is a guarantee to your prospective employer that you have been equipped with good, solid guiding skills and a practical approach to guiding.

The Nature College qualifications are also endorsed by FGASA.

 The Nature College has built an effective administrative system that will produce quick results.  We have learnt from experience and have streamlined our systems be practical and efficient.  We do not want customers frustrated by bad administration.  We have a high level of personal interaction and involvement with clients, and our students remain associated with The Nature College for years without having to pay annual subscription fees.
